One worker lost his life in coal mine collapse in Şırnak

ŞIRNAK (DİHA) - A landslide occured in Aftamasiya bound to Şırnak city center. Mineworker named İbrahim Sağnak (30) trapped in the wreckage and lost his life.

A landslide occured in 1 no mine at the outskirts of Cudi Mountain nearby Aftamasiya bound to Şırnak city center today. The landslide happened 100 meters under the ground. The funeral of Sağnak was brought to hospitsal with an ambulance. 7 of 8 mine workers was survived the collapse, one other mine worker trapped under wreckage for two hours. While the rescue teams came late to the scene, the workers launched the rescue work themselves.

Governor: Despite security measures, it's worked illegally

After some time, Şırnak Governor Hasan İpek came to the scene of collapse. Governor said: "The coal mine is illegal." He claimed that it's worked despite the security measures. Governor İpek added: "We penalized this mine beforehand. However, despite this the coal mine was worked illegally."
